At Michael Kelly Dentistry, we have a multi-disciplinary team of dental professionals covering all aspects of care from implants to routine checkups and dental hygiene
Michael is the practice principal dentist having taken over the business in 1996
In the intervening years he has built up a busy practice now boasting four dentists two hygienists and excellent support staff
Michael has an extensive private patient base stretching back to the nineties who come from far and wide. He enjoys the variety and challenges of quality general dentistry but has also invested a great deal of time training to deliver treatment with dental implants and cosmetic dentistry
Along with advanced private dental care Michael is also the sedation dentist at the practice allowing our nervous patients to have the treatment they need without the barrier of dental anxiety
Michael has a large family, one of whom will graduate as a dentist in 2023, and his spare time is taken up with walking his three dogsand playing all sports from golf to swimming and cycling
Ross joined the practice in the summer of 2022 graduating from Glasgow University in 2018 and has been working in general practice for the last 4 years. In that time he has worked hard to develop a broad range of skills in order to provide quality dentistry both within the NHS system, as well as private alternatives
With a focus on achieving great results in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere his belief is that a trip to us doesn’t have to feel “like pulling teeth” (even when we are)
Outside of work Ross has an interest in rugby, having played at national level, and now as a spectator, Cross fit gym where he balances fitness with injury and you might even spot Ross walking his dog locally
Graeme is excited to join the experienced dental team at Michael Kelly Dentistry and help deliver predictable and safe dental implant solutions and other restorative and cosmetic treatments that are tailored to the patient
After obtaining an honours degree in Chemistry, Dr Ker completed his dental degree at Glasgow University (2016) and soon began restoing implants in general private practice. He graduated top of his class from the British Academy of Implant and restorative Dentistry and continues to attend further courses as a student and as a mentor. He is a memeber of the International Team for Implantology (ITI) which has helped stay up to date with evidence based approaches. He prefers to use the Straumann branded implants aswell as modern surgical tools such as digitally planned surgical guides, osseodensification for softer bone and sinus lifting procedures, and immediate implant placement with bone grafting
He has attended further education in key restorative disciplines such as occlusion, full mouth treatment planning, oral surgery and aesthetic smile design. In his general practice he also carries out endodontics, short-term orthodontics, composite bonding, crown and bridge and veneers, leading to multi-disciplinary approaches
Dr Ker enjoys providing high quality care to all his patients and is currently accepting referrals for implants, bone and soft tissue augmentation and oral surgery
Outside of dentistry, he spends his time at home refining his culinary skills, and keeping fit and young in the gym. At weekends he plays golf at Prestwick Golf Club and indulges his creative side by making music in his home studio. He spends his holidays wining and dining in Italy, backpacking in remote locations or skiing in the alps
